things i love 2/23/06
this is the last meal i had with the shorties
before we went on our break.
last week, on fun friday,
we tore the soft,
spongy goodness into
sweet, sticky pieces
and savored each
mouthful.
we licked our fingers and
talked about how
krispy kreme donuts
are one of the best
food in the world.
we stared longingly
at the empty boxes and
wished they would magically
be full again.
sigh.
even the box is
retro-liscious.
i heart these
so much.

ReplyDeleteoh my goodness... I KNOW. I know all too well. I know they're all over the country now but I think they used to be just a southern thing. anyway, when I first moved down to atlanta, loverboy ward used to take me to the big krispy kreme donut joint downtown (open 24 hours!) and we'd wait til the light came on and then we'd devour them one by one. you could also watch them being made, all cute coming down the conveyor belt... waterfall of icing covering them all... your shorties would love it...! it's ava's favorite place to go now.

emily...i bought these mad-snacks from mr. sean...it was a fundraiser for the basketball team, i think.
all they had to wave in my face was the k.kreme name and i was sucked in.
