doesn't everyone remember the joy from
peeling the sticker from their banana
and pressing it firmly
to the middle of their forehead?

it makes me laugh to think of how
people would react if i did that now.
i imagine going to the bank,
stopping by a coffee bar for a cuppa,
meeting a friend for lunch,
or buying groceries with
a bright blue circle between my eyes.
