easter math

how badbadbad...jacking my students up with sugar on this day before good friday.

but it is important to know how to divide candy equally among friends. it is important to know what to do if there are remainders...how to fairly handle the situation.
it is important to know how know the polite amount of marshmallow critters one can stuff in ones face before having everyone in the room lookng at you with one eyebrow raised...

so. that is what i am teaching my kids today. that is what i will say when my principal comes in my room with visitors and they want to know why we are all spinning around the room like the tasmanian devil, giggling wildly.
