putting my fork down, i asked him to tell me what he was, if not my baby.
i a little boy.
he shoveled some eggs into his mouth

ReplyDeletehugs mama. he will ALWAYS be your baby, even if he doesn't want to admit it.
I hear this from Lucas a lot too, unless he wants me to do something for him. Then he says, "I just a baby!"-Tracey D

Don't worry, mama. He'll always be your baby, even if you can't say it out loud much anymore. Thankfully the girls still let me call them my babies and they're practically grown-ass women.
ReplyDeleteHey! I just stumbled in, and I love your stuff. He doesn't have to KNOW he's your baby, just like the boy-you-like doesn't have to KNOW he's the boy-you-like. He still IS. :)
ReplyDeletesweet lil' punk. you are gonna love having a little boy, just as much as you loved having a baby. and yes, he will always be your baby. you hold eachother's hearts. it's just the way it works for mama's as good as you. xoxoxoxo
