12/52 breathe

13/52
picture of the week.
eating something he found on the floor. i was hoping it was an "o".

i know i know.
i skipped week 10 and 11.
(i am sure you all noticed!)

my external hard drive is fried.
more than 25,000 photos are trapped inside.
our italy trip.
almost every photo of babychop. ever.
camping fun.
engagement pictures.
all of it. everything snapped before last monday.
unreachable.

let's all keep our fingers crossed
that eli the computer guy will be able to help.

i am not freaking out.
yet.

    I did notice and mised seeing your little cutie!
    I hope your computer guy can retrieve your photos, I've had two hard drives crash and my computer genius brother was able to get my pictures off of them for me.

    Hey - this happened to me, and the tech guys said I would likely spend $1000 to try to retrieve data that they probably couldn't retrieve...then I remembered that about 75% of the photos were on Kodak gallery, and you can order CDs with your entire 'gallery' from them. Cost me about $80, and at least I got most of the good ones. Are you uploading most of them to flikr? Maybe you can do the same thing?

    Oh, oh, oh..... no! My personal worst nightmare come true for you. I do hope you'll be able to reach your photos. And a good reminder to me to do something about mine...
    Lovely to see your baby chop. He looks so darn big all of a sudden!

    I recently had an accident with my external drive which stored a lot (but not all thankfully) of my photos. Many were recovered. I'm still not sure of the damage done, but I was interested to find that none of my RAW files were recovered. JPGs and TIFFs fared better.
