snow!!!!!!

yesyesyes! it is dumping on charm city as we speak! i am going to go for a run....the crunch of new snow is such a cool sound...
nachos at the cvp to follow...
now...the big question...will it snow enough to have a snow day on monday?
can i procrastinate responsibility until the last minute and have snow fun now? hmmmmmm....so tough to know the right choice.
i know, as a teacher, i am supposed to NOT want snow days...the children look at me in disbelief when i play the snow song in class and encourage them to dance around the room and sing the lyrics "on my knees and pray for a snowy day, cuz i need a break and i want to sled the day away..." (written by the band bleu)
aaaaaaand of course, we have the ickystupidgeneralizedforrichwhitekids state testing coming up and i need every minute to get the kids prepared and psyched to take a test that really doesn't show how fabulous, creative and talented they really are....
the testing doesn't take lead levels into consideration, or that a child is going through severe depression/anxiety due to witnessing a shooting or an addicted parent or a jailed caretaker...
so...
for now i will enjoy the beauty of the falling snow making the world seem like a perfect fairyland for a few hours...and then go eat some nachos!
